It truly is amazing, To keep in mind how awful we are here on earth. We have darkness in our hearts that never sees the light. We hide these obvious things thinking that he doesn't see, or maybe that he does and "I guess he doesn't care". It is a wretched thing, sin. It is what eats away at our soul. It is the tar that we spread on our hearts. It is the screen door that we always run into on our way to give God a huge hug. It is the bomb that is ticking before we loose ourselves in our shame, bitterness, and pride.
How will I ever escape this thing called sin? How will I ever feel perfectly confident to enter the presence of God? Yes, there is a confidence there...But really?
Sometimes I wonder, do we think that we're "ok"? Do we somehow forget or just stop caring that our sin has so covered our minds?
In all this we know that Christ has covered our sins, but have we become repelent of grace from the tar that so covers our Christian brothers and sisters? Where is repentence? Where is confession? Where is Revival/REVIVE ALL?
The truth is...we ARE doing this all wrong! We are so afraid to take that step of James 5:16 "confess your sins to each other and pray for each other and you will be healed; the prayer of a righteous man is powerful and effective." How often to we have to hear how SICK the Christian Church is and how it needs HEALING before we can get off our butts (fear, pride, foolishness) and confess and REPENT.
How many more great pastors do we have to lose to sexual SIN before we can get a hint! How many more Christian families will hide the fact that they might have some DEEPLY ROOTED ISSUES that are going to destroy their children!!!
It seems to me that many have quit. It is so hard to hate sin and it wears on us. It is so hard for us sometimes to take up the cross daily, especially when daily we wake up not wanting to wake up.
IT IS GRACE THAT GET'S ME UP IN THE MORNING! THE FACT FACT FACT THAT GRACE HAS FREED US SO WE ARE ABLE TO YELL AND SCREAM HALLELUIAH!! TO GET OUR MINDS OUT OF THE LIE THAT SAYS, "I'm too tired to fight anymore..."! YOU UNBELIEVING PEOPLE! (that includes me) DON'T YOU KNOW WHERE YOUR FIGHT COMES FROM?!?! THE BATTLE IS SPIRITUAL! HE IS THE ONLY THING SPIRITUAL ABOUT US! WE ARE FLESHY and FOOLISH!
This tar gets thicker and it'll take alot of scraping to get it off. Why not start NOW! START NOW WHERE YOU ARE SITTING! START TO SEE HOW YOUR LOVE FOR CHRIST HAS DIMINISHED BECAUSE OF THE SHAME THAT WE BEAR FROM SIN! TAKE UP YOUR CROSS AGAIN! DO NOT PUT IT DOWN! FIGHT FIGHT FIGHT WITH THE MIGHT THAT GOD HAS POURED INTO YOU! FIGHT WITH SALVATION IN THE FRONT AND GRACE FOLLOWING CLOSE BEHIND!
FIGHT THIS TAR AND COME BACK TO YOUR MAKER!

Hosea
Hosea married a harlot...
I am the harlot! I can't stop being human! It is nearly impossible, but sanctification is true and possible.
We are justified by GRACE and only grace can justify us.
It amazes me, that all the sin that I continue to fall back into cannot stop the Christ's love for me. He will still love me and I will still be His son. I will never truly understand this. I'll never know how, but He still pours his love onto his people.
If anyone can comprehend God's providence to such a sick humanity then you can help us all understand.
He's simply God and He simply loves I guess......

John
I've been going through the gospel of John slowly and asking as many questions as I can. This is from my previous time in study.
John 1:1 - "In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God and the Word was God."
*"Word" is a proper noun relating to Jesus Himself.
*Jesus/the Word, was in the beginning. Jesus was not in the flesh at this time, but of spirit just like his Father and the Spirit, (Genesis "the Spirit hovered over the waters"). They were all together in the beginning as one perfect, harmonious triune God; three persons, but one God.
John 1:3- "All things came into being through Him and apart from Him nothign came into being that has come into being."
*The previous verse uses the pronoun "He" and it is continues in verse 3 using "Him" meaning it is still referring to Jesus, so through Jesus "all thigns came into being" and "nothing came into being that hasn't come into being" through Jesus. Jesus in spirit before coming to flesh was the creator? Did they all have a "say" in how the earth was created; working together using the character of all threein one to create something so perfect; dependable, beautiful, usable, etc.
John 1:4- "In Him was life, and the lif was the Light of men."
*Light is a proper noun. (Jesus is also the Light, or maybe it is referring to Truth) The ruth is the light of men, because....
John 1:5- The Light shines in the darkness, and the darkness did not comprehend it. Light is the truth, which is Jesus! But the world didn't comprehend it!
John 1:10-"He was in the world, an the world was made through Him, and the world did not know Him." The creator of the world which He came to dwell on, two things which weren't necessary for Him to do (but did so for the sake of love), did not know him. They did not recognize Him.
John 1:11- Even "His own" did not receive Him!! "e came to His own, and those who were His own did not receive Him. (!!!!!)
John 1:12 "But as many as received Him, to them He gave the right to become children of God,"
We have the right to become His children. This is the joy of Christ. Have you ever seen a man/woman whose delight in their children lifted them up to such heights. Their children, their own, gave them so much pleasure as they were their own. God sees it this way! He takes pleasure in us and in our praise of Him. He wants so badly for us to be dependant on Him and to praise Him with our all, but to screw up. What if I didn't screw up, then my father would have never needed to help me up and set me back on my feet. What are my favorite memories of my father? When he picked me up and protected me! When he lifted me up and bandaged my wounds. When I would injure myself and look up and see him on his feet eager to carry me anywhere to protect me. If I were a perfect child then I wouldn't know my fathers providence (how he provides) for me and his love for me. We are human and are supposed to fall and break. Look up and appreciate God's providence for you.
This is a pretty long study to be writing here. I'm sure that there aren't going to be many reading this, but I'm cerainly edified to have been able to write it somewhere; somewhere that I might be alone and safe to write, but vulnerable enough that if someone would so desire can read this. I like this journalling.
Praise the Lord

My first post
This blogspot is designated to my solutions. My solutions consist of Scripture, or straight truth. All truth is God's truth, yea?
I can't wait to start writing. These will usually have to do with my personal devotions. You'll learn how to do devotions like OLD UNCLE JOSH! :)
I'm not going to call it blogging either. That is such a grosse word..."BLOGGGINGGGG!" I like, journalling.
